Birthing classes in Canberra

This First Steps Pregnancy Support program is a 6-week evening course on Mondays from 7 – 9:15pm, commencing November 7th 2022 and held in Queanbeyan.

The course covers a wide range of topics including birth, breast-feeding, newborn issues, infant first aid and when to recognise your baby is sick, protecting your relationship as well as legal aspects of separation, mental health and much more. The presenters are professionals from a range of relevant areas including GP Obstetrics, physiotherapy (women’s health), midwifery/lactation consultancy/maternal and child health nursing as well as legal, mental health and early education professionals.  

The classes are free for women who are 20 years or younger, Aboriginal/Torres Straight Islander, experiencing financial difficulty (pension/HCC holder), or who are Medicare Ineligible. Please see below flyer and poster for further information.
