The Practical Guide to Love, Sex and Relationships – A groundbreaking skills development approach to ethical sexual decision-making, at its heart is the concept of care of self, taking care of each other and having an equal say, for all young people. Funded by the Australian Government and developed by the Australian Research Centre in Sex, Health and Society, La Trobe University, this schools resource has activities exploring relationships, sexual consent, equity and sexual and reproductive health. Sexuality Education Curriculum Audit Tool − The Victorian Curriculum Assessment Authority Sexuality Education Curriculum Audit Tool designed to assist schools to evaluate their curriculum against the AusVELS.

US Guidelines for comprehensive sexuality education − An example of leading material in what constitutes age-appropriate sexuality education  from the Sexuality Information and Education Council of the US.

Ansell Sex-Ed. La Trobe University’s Australian Research Centre in Sex, Health and Society website moderated by an experienced teacher in sexuality education; it gathers a wide range of resources, including classroom activities and ‘all things sex ed’.

Catching On Early – Teaching and Learning Activities for primary schools  − an evidence-based resource, updated in 2013 to reflect the AusVELS curriculum. Its development-based program is designed to help schools teach the sexuality education components in the Health and Physical Education and Interpersonal Development domains, prep to year 6.

Catching on Later – Teaching and Learning Activities for secondary schools – This classroom resource, released in 2013 includes a set of sequential learning activities for students in Years 7-10 around key topics for adolescents such as body image, sexual health and relationships.
