The Australian Young, Pregnant and Parenting Network is made up of health care providers, educators, social workers and community members from across Australia. We support pregnant and parenting young people to make the right choices and create the best outcomes for themselves and their children.
We advocate for good quality health care, education, training, employment and housing as the fundamental building blocks of physical, emotional, social and economic well-being for young people.
AYPPN was formed as an outcome of the 2009 Symposium on Supporting Pregnant and Parenting Young People, organised by the Association of Women Educators. Its initial work is made possible via generous assistance from the CCCares program at Canberra College, winner of the inaugural National Bank Schools First National Impact Award in 2009. the network has 150 members and is steadily growing.
