With great enthusiasm, we proudly launch Reimagining Young Parenthood — a short film created with young parents Hind, Macey, Gemma and Casey . The film challenges outdated stereotypes and instead, highlights the determination, ambition and resilience of young mothers whose lives shift when they have access to education, health care, wellbeing and secure employment.
In this day and age, you may be shocked to learn that young parents still face daily stigma and discrimination – you’ll see that Reimagining Young Parenthood offers a different lens that is grounded in real stories of real young mothers who approached their future with unguarded resilience and motivation. The impact is generational: young parents grow and their children grow with them.
This short film will be shared with schools, community organisations, youth services, employers, government and policymakers to strengthen understanding of young parenthood and encourage inclusive, responsive systems.
Reimagining Young Parenthood is now available for public viewing here: Reimagining Young Parenthood
We kindly ask you to share it with your colleagues, your clients, your family and friends, your social media – far and wide is our aim – thank you in advance.
Let’s celebrates what becomes possible when young parents are met with respect and practical support.
NOTE: Our gratitude to Nick, Clancy, Kathleen and Phoenix at Substory for the ease with which they brought this short film together:
